Over 100 women in audio gather for the first WAM conference

Women’s Audio Mission (WAM) hosted its first ever conference for female engineers and music producers earlier this month.

AMI reported that the sold-out conference was attended by over 100 women working in the audio business, and featured interactive panels and workshops with some of the world’s top female producers, engineers and music executives.

Marking the first time WAM has brought its training and curriculum to Los Angeles, the conference took place at Capitol Studios and included sessions on mixing, tracking, live sound, songwriting and beat production.

“[WAM @ Capitol] was a magical and moving experience that will ripple through the work of every woman who was present,” producer recording Engineer Ainjel Emme told AMI.

“I had the best experience today at the WAM @ Capitol event learning from a panel of inspiring and talented female musicians,” said musician Myracle McCoy. “I feel so ready to go take over the world with my sisters right now.”
