Drake Music has introduced a free guide and resources tool to support young disabled people in the music education industry. Entitled “We All Make Music”, the guide features tips, advice and links to help decision makers diversify their workforce and support disabled workers.
Drake Music has been around for over 25 years with the aim to remove disabling barriers to music-making.
The new resource launches after the organisation researched into the representation of disabled people in music education, which highlighted an employment gap.
Since then, Drake Music has been campaigning and advocating on this issue. It recently hosted an accessible and inclusive music education conference, also titled We All Make Music, with the new guide being produced as part of the campaign.
Free to download, Drake Music hopes the guide will evolve and improve over time with feedback and contributions from people within the industry. Read it here.
