Launched exclusively in the UK by brand distributors Barnes & Mullins, the 4 and 5 string basses have been designed specifically for UK customers and are available in one-off, limited quantities.
They offer a unique twist on Spector’s professional Euro series basses, featuring a hand-crafted and carved body made European Alder with a Koa top – available in natural stain gloss and matte finishes.
They feature a 3-piece Maple neck with internal graphite rod supports and a 24 fret Rosewood fingerboard inlaid with Mother of Pearl crown fret markers. Other hi-end appointments include a lightweight zinc brass alloy Spector bridge, brass nut and gold hardware. Each bass includes in a Spector-branded hardcase.
Electronics come in the form of a Spector 9v Tone Pump circuit with Aguilar OBP3 pre-amp (master volume, pickup blend, stacked bass/treble and mid pots). The 4 string model features a PJX EMG-X pickup with the 5 string model loaded with a 40TWX EMG-X.
Spector Limited Edition Euro Koa models are available to order now for £2,735 (4 string models) and £2,800 (5 string models).
4 string gloss and 5 string matte models will be on show for the first time at Spector Bass UK’s A22 booth at the Show.
The London Bass Guitar Show takes place on 3rd and 4th March 2018 at Olympia.
