Taking place on Saturday 17th March 2018 from 10am– 4pm at the Stables Theatre in Milton Keynes, the free taster lessons will allow attendees to try their hand at playing keyboards, drums and guitars. Plus, visitors will also learn some music production skills on a range of synthesizers and groove boxes.
Free taster sessions will also be offered on pBone, the world’s first plastic trombone.
Entrance is free and all attendees will be entered into a free prize draw, with the chance to win a TM50 Tuner/Metronome, a must-have item for anyone learning to play a musical instrument.
Learn To Play Days are flagship events for the UK’s Music For All charity, offering a free “taster” lesson on a large array of musical instruments – in 2017 over 12,000 free lessons were given to novices and musicians alike.
With less than three weeks to go until Learn to Play Day 2018 returns on the 17th and 18th March 2018, music shops, venues, schools, teachers and many more are gearing up to welcoming visitors to this annual event.
Holding a Learn to Play Day event is a great way to encourage new and old customers to visit a music business and it does not have to cost the world. Low cost ideas to get the party going can include posters in the windows, a selection of free refreshments on the day, collaboration with local music teachers, staff forming a band to provide live music or inviting local dignitaries, celebrities, radio stations and newspapers.
