LD Systems’ MAUI P900 PA system wins multiple awards

Adam Hall Group has announced that the MAUI P900 PA system from its LD Systems brand has won a number of awards.

Developed in collaboration with Porsche Design Studio, the MAUI P900 is an active 3-way class D system featuring an impressive 50 neodymium transducers. It utilises patented WaveAhead technology as well as the innovative SonicGuide design principle, which guides the sound waves from the tweeters and woofers for perfect phase and time-coherent playback.

The 2018 German Design Award jury had this to day about the speaker system: “The iconic column speakers combine clear, characteristic styling, high-quality materials and high-tech in a unique design of timeless beauty.”

In addition to the international jury’s award, this year, the public also had the opportunity to vote for its favourite. From all of the German Design Award distinctions, users of the Design Explorer mobile app selected the Adam Hall Group with the LD Systems MAUI P900 as winner of the Public’s Choice Award 2018.

The MAUI P900 also impressed the independent international jury of experts in the audio category of this year’s iF Design Award. The winner of the coveted seal of quality was selected from over 6,400 submissions from 54 countries.

In addition to these awards, at the latest ISE trade fair in Amsterdam, the NewBay media publications PSNEurope, Audio Media International, Installation and AV Technology Europe presented the NewBay Best of Show Award to the MAUI P900.

“We are overwhelmed by the positive response to our new MAUI P900,” said Alexander Pietschmann, CEO of the Adam Hall Group.

“These awards from experts confirm that with this unique audio product and the collaboration with Studio F.A. Porsche design agency, we are on the right track. We consider the variety of awards as extremely valuable recognition of our design and development work.”

The MAUI P900 is expected to be available from the end of May 2018.
