Dolores O’Riordan: Cranberries singer dies aged 46

Irish musician and lead singer of The Cranberries, Dolores O’Riordan, has died in London at the age of 46.

Known for her distinctive voice on hits such as Linger and Zombie, O’Riordan and the band have sold over 40 million records worldwide.

According to the BBC, her publicist released the following statement:

“The lead singer with the Irish band The Cranberries was in London for a short recording session. No further details are available at this time. Family members are devastated to hear the breaking news and have requested privacy at this very difficult time.”
